The drama is based on the classic novel by Frances Hodgson, The Making of a Marchioness, and comes from the playwright and author behind both The Secret Garden and A Little Princess. ITV has commissioned period drama The Making of a Lady, after the success seen with Downton Abbey (ITV) It will be produced by Runaway Fridge TV as a single film for ITV1. Katy Brooke, who wrote The Forsyte Saga and Wired, is to adapt the romantic novel for the small screen. LOS ANGELES (AP) ? Pluto may have been kicked out of the planet club, but it has gained yet another companion.
Scientists announced Wednesday the discovery of the smallest moon yet around the icy orb, bringing the tally of known moons to five.
"We're not finished searching yet," said Hal Weaver of Johns Hopkins University, who thinks there may be more lurking.
The discovery was made by a team of scientists who used the Hubble Space Telescope to scout out Pluto's neighborhood ahead of a NASA spacecraft that's scheduled to arrive in 2015. When the New Horizons craft launched in 2006, Pluto was a full-fledged planet, but has since been demoted to dwarf planet status by the International Astronomical Union.
The newfound moon ? known as P5 until it gets a proper name ? appeared as a faint fleck in the Hubble images. Scientists estimated the mini-moon to be 6 to 15 miles across, smaller than the still nameless one that they spotted last year, which is 8 to 21 miles wide.
Pluto's largest moon, the 650-mile-wide Charon, was discovered in 1978. Two smaller moons, Nix and Hydra, were found in 2005.
The moons are thought to have formed after an ancient collision between Pluto and an object in the Kuiper Belt, a disk teeming with small bodies that lies beyond the orbit of Neptune.
Since the launch of the New Horizons mission, scientists have been studying the Kuiper Belt in search of debris that might pose a danger to the spacecraft.
Mark Showalter of the SETI Institute said names for the new moon and last year's discovery will not be proposed until the team finishes analyzing the Hubble data in case there are more hidden moons.
Showalter said he favors names that go together ? like the mythological Greek couple Orpheus and Eurydice.
"If we happen to find more moons, then we will have to pick a different story from Greek mythology," he said in an email.

Rice consumers concerned about reports that rice is linked to diabetes can rest assured that rice can be part of a healthy diet, with scientists finding that the glycemic index (GI) of rice varies a lot from one type of rice to another, with most varieties scoring a low to medium GI.
The findings of the research, which analyzed 235 types of rice from around the world, is good news because it not only means rice can be part of a healthy diet for the average consumer, but it also means people with diabetes, or at risk of diabetes, can select the right rice to help maintain a healthy, low-GI diet.
The study found that the GI of rice ranges from a low of 48 to a high of 92, with an average of 64.
The research team from the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) Food Futures Flagship also identified the key gene that determines the GI of rice, an important achievement that offers rice breeders the opportunity to develop varieties with different GI levels to meet consumer needs. Future development of low-GI rice would also enable food manufacturers to develop new, low-GI food products based on rice. Dr. Melissa Fitzgerald, who led the IRRI team, said that GI is a measure of the relative ability of carbohydrates in foods to raise blood sugar levels after eating.
"Understanding that different types of rice have different GI values allows rice consumers to make informed choices about the sort of rice they want to eat," she said. "Rice varieties such as India's most widely grown rice variety, Swarna, have a low GI and varieties such as Doongara from Australia and Basmati have a medium GI."
Dr. Tony Bird, CSIRO Food Futures Flagship researcher, said that low-GI diets offer a range of health benefits: "Low-GI diets can reduce the likelihood of developing type 2 diabetes, and are also useful for helping diabetics better manage their condition.
"This is good news for diabetics and people at risk of diabetes who are trying to control their condition through diet, as it means they can select the right rice to help maintain a healthy, low-GI diet," he added.
Low-GI foods are those measured 55 and less, medium-GI foods are those measured between 56 and 69, while high-GI foods measure 70 and above.
When food is measured to have a high GI, it means it is easily digested and absorbed by the body, which often results in fluctuations in blood sugar levels that can increase the chances of getting diabetes, and make management of type 2 diabetes difficult.
Conversely, foods with low GI are those that have slow digestion and absorption rates in the body, causing a gradual and sustained release of sugar into the blood, which has been proven beneficial to health, including reducing the chances of developing diabetes.
Eating rice with other foods can help reduce the overall GI of a meal and, when combined with regular exercise, can reduce the chances of getting diabetes. In addition, people who exercise need more carbohydrates in their diet and can take advantage of low-GI foods for sustained activity.
Rice plays a strong role in global food security. Being the staple for about 3.5 billion people, it is important to maximize the nutritional value of rice. Low-GI rice will have a particularly important role in the diets of people who derive the bulk of their calories from rice and who cannot afford to eat rice with other foods to help keep the GI of their diet low. Low-GI rice could help to keep diabetes at bay in these communities.
This is the first of several studies the group plans to carry out based on investigating the role of rice in mitigating chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes.

WILTSHIRE golfer David Howell is hoping his tied fourth finish at the French Open will be the catalyst for a return to his best.
The Broome Manor professional shared the overnight lead with Dane Anders Hansen going into the final round in France, and despite losing the lead thanks to a bad start to his final 18 holes, he battled back to earn his first top 10 finish in nearly a year.
Howell looked comfortable throughout his four rounds in France, and although he ended three shots behind eventual winner Marcel Siem, the former Ryder Cup player is hopeful the impressive finish will help him climb the world rankings from his current position of 350.
?All in all I am delighted,? he said.
?Maybe I didn?t finish it off and I am disappointed I wasn?t able to go on and win, but there are so many positives to take from the week here and overall I played some pretty good stuff.
?I am very happy with the way I hit the ball, and maybe it could have been better, but I am proud, especially as I have never made the cut here before.
?It is nearly a year now since I last finished in the top 10, and it has been hard, but hopefully now I can do it on a more regular basis.
?It should move me up the rankings a fair bit and the prize money is good too, so hopefully I can keep it up and keep getting better.?
Howell?s final round at Le Golf National started in the worst possible way with bogeys at the first and third holes, but he was pleased with the way he battled back to earn himself a top five finish.
?I snatched at the tee shot on the third and that is really not what I wanted to do at all, but I came back into it at six and that was pleasing.
?I had numerous chances that could have gone down but they didn?t, and I was too far back by the time I got to the end of my round.
?The last four holes are hard, and you can only really hold on on them which is what I did.?
Howell went into the event knowing a top five finish would give him a chance of earning the one spot on offer for The Open Championship in two weeks time, but despite achieving his goal he missed out because Siem had also not already qualified for the tournament at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
?The first thing I asked when I came off the course was whether Marcel had already qualified, and I was told he hadn?t,? Howell said.
?It would have been great to play at The Open, but there is another chance to get there in Scotland next week and that is my target now.?
