Sides quiet after talks in ongoing faculty strike at Nova Scotia university

ANTIGONISH, N.S. - The sides in the faculty strike at Nova Scotia's St. Francis Xavier University say they updating the union membership and school officials on progress made at the negotiating table.

The union for the 400 striking faculty and academic staff met for most of the day Wednesday with university officials.

No details of the talks were released by either side on their respective websites.

Both the union and the administration say an update will be provided to the public on Thursday.

The strike is more than two weeks old.
